jury de la Compétition Officielle Internationale de la 7ème
édition du Festival Cinéma Tout Ecran, composé de son Président
Sir Peter Ustinov (Comédien/Grande-Bretagne-Suisse), Laure Adler
(Journaliste-Ecrivain/France), Florence Viala (Comédienne/France),
Issa Serge Coelo (Réalisateur/Tchad-France) et Cyril Thurston
(Distributeur/Suisse), ont décerné les prix suivants :
- GRAND PRIX CINEMA TOUT ECRAN pour le meilleur film
offert par la Ville de Genève
CARE (Grande-Bretagne) réalisé par Antonia Bird.
Pour son courage, sa sensibilité, sa pudeur, son efficacité pour
dénoncer l’un des maux de notre société.
- GRAND PRIX DU JURY offert par l’Etat de Genève
ROADBLOCKS (KLISTI DROMI) (Grèce) réalisé par Stavros
Ioannou.
Ce film rend compte de la complexité de l’exil et rend hommage à
la dignité et au courage de ces nomades involontaires.
- PRIX TITRA FILM SA pour l’encouragement à la
distribution.
ADRIFT (Pays-Bas) réalisé par Michiel Van Jaarsveld
pour que l’émotion juste et brutale qui se dégage de ce film
soit vue sur grand écran.
- PRIX RICHEMOND D’INTERPRETATION FEMININE offert par l’Hôtel
Le Richemond
Sarah Pratt dans le film BREVE TRAVERSEE (France)
réalisé par Catherine Breillat pour la subtilité et la
profondeur de ses registres de l’interprétation des jeux de l’amour
et de la séduction.
- PRIX RICHEMOND D’INTERPRETATION MASCULINE offert par l’Hôtel
Le Richemond
Daniel Parker et Steven Mackintosh dans le film CARE
(Grande-Bretagne) réalisé par Antonia Bird pour la nuance
et la sobriété de l’interprétation du rôle de Dave Younger, un
homme dont la vie a été gâchée.
- MENTION SPECIALE
Pour Roger Jendly, pour son interprétation dans NEWSMAN
(Suisse) réalisé par Yvan Butler, qui sait ajouter un brin de
sarcasme pour voiler sa peine.

Pour STRUMPET (Grande-Bretagne) de Danny Boyle, pour l’originalité
du traitement et la réalisation de ce conte moderne.

jury “ International Series ”, composé de Suzanne

(Responsable des achats fiction de Arte/France), Edmée Cuttat
(Rédactrice en chef adjointe de la Tribune de Genève/Suisse), Lise
Lachenal (Responsable acquisitions fictions à la TSR de 1980 à
2000/Suisse) et Andrew Deane (Producteur, Directeur de Projets
Séries/Etats-Unis) ont décerné les prix suivants :
- PRIX CINEMA TOUT ECRAN de la meilleure série
YIZO YIZO réalisé par Barry Berk et Teboho
Mahlatsi (Afrique du Sud)
Pour le réalisme, l’originalité le courage, l’audace de
traiter avec également beaucoup de sensibilité la vie quotidienne
dans les “ township ” d’Afrique du Sud.
- GRAND PRIX DES MINI-SERIES
BEKANNELSEN (THE CONFESSION) de Daniel Lind Lagerlöf
(Suéde)
Un vrai programme de télévision, remarquable par le traitement, l’atmosphère
et le jeu très abouti des acteurs.
- MENTION SPECIALE
VOICES FROM THE HEARTLAND, MOTHER V réalisé par Shahar
Rozen (Israël)
Pour le courage politique de propos, l’émotion et la grande
sensibilité qui émanent du jeu des 2 principaux protagonistes.
- MENTION SPECIALE
FUCCON FAMILY (Japon) réalisé par Yoshimasa Ishibashi,
pour l’originalité de la série, la nouveauté du traitement, la
critique acerbe de la société.
Le
jury du Prix TV5 pour le meilleur long métrage francophone,
composé de Clara Rousseau (Responsable Marketing TV5) et Christophe
Assezat (Responsable des acquisitions Fictions et documentaires TV5)
ont décerné le prix suivant :
PRIX TV 5 du meilleur long métrage de fiction francophone
POTLATCH (Suisse) de Pierre Maillard pour sa force,
son originalité et surtout son interprétation.
Le
jury des Courts Métrages en Compétition Internationale,
composé de Nicolas Page (Ecrivain/Suisse), Manuel Polls
(Réalisateur/Espagne) et Sabine Timoteo (Comédienne/Suisse) a
décerné à l’unanimité les prix suivants :
- PRIX DU MEILLEUR COURT METRAGE offert par la SSA
LES CHAUSSETTES SALES (France) de David Lanzmann, pour
l’honnêteté du contenu et de la forme ainsi que par la
nécessité et la motivation de raconter cette histoire. Merci.
- PRIX TV5
MUNO (Belgique) de Bouli Lannerf, parce qu’il faut
éviter le silence.
- PRIX TSR décerné par Michel Shopfer (responsable des
acquisitions courts métrages à la TSR), en accord avec le jury des
Courts Métrages en Compétition Internationale
J’AI QUELQUE CHOSE A TE DIRE (ELA NA SOU PO) (Grèce) de Katerina
Filiotou, pour son scénario et la justesse du jeu des
interprètes qui font passer beaucoup d’émotions dans une
histoire toute simple.
Le
jury du Court Métrage suisse, composé de Julie Gilbert
(Scénariste/Suisse), Jean-François Amiguet (Réalisateur/Suisse)
et Pierre-Pascal Rossi (Journaliste-Reporter et scénariste/Suisse)
a décerné les prix suivants :
- COUP DE CŒUR POUR LA MEILLEURE REALISATION SUISSE
NUIT DE NOCES (Suisse) d’Olga Baillif
Pour l’extrême cohérence entre le propos et la forme, avec un
vrai et beau personnage féminin remarquablement interprété, le
jury décerne le prix Coup de Cœur à Nuit de Noces d’Olga
Baillif.
- PRIX KODAK
DIE WURSTVERKAÜFERIN (Suisse) de Oliver Paulus et Stephan
Hillebrand
Pour l’audace et l’originalité de cet essai cinématographique
à la frontière entre documentaire et fiction.
Le
jury des jeunes, composé Clara Barrelet, Laura Mancilla,
Alexandre Amacker, Vincent Fontana et Romain Borgeaud, a décerné
le prix suivant :
- PRIX DU JURY DES JEUNES CINEMA TOUT ECRAN
SPRAVA O PUTOVANI STUDENTU PETRA A JAKUBA (THE PILGRIMAGE OF
STUDENTS PETER AND JACOB) réalisé par Drahomira Vihanova
(République Tchèque)
Pour un sujet audacieux qui traite avec poésie le problème des
gens du voyage.

jury du Concours du Meilleur Film de Télévision Suisse,
composé de Anne Leduc (Producteur des coproductions télévisuelles
à la RTBF/Belgique), Gaëtano Stucchi (Ex-directeur du Département
Télévision de l’U.E.R./France), Christophe Schneider
(Journaliste au Tages Anzeiger/Suisse) a décerné le prix suivant :
- GRAND PRIX DU MEILLEUR FILM DE TELEVISION SUISSE
DRAGAN & MADLAINA (Suisse) de Kaspar Kasics
Le
Jury du Public, composé de Malik Mallem, Abderrahmane Bekieh,
Nicolas Frytag, Plavia Ambrosetti et Patrick Gilleron a décerné le
prix suivant :
- PRIX DU PUBLIC offert par La Tribune de Genève
ROADBLOCKS (Grèce) de Stavros Ionanou
Pour sa dimension humaine et la justesse de son propos. A travers l’exemple
Kurde, le film porte un regard pertinent sur la question universelle
de l’exil.

Cinéma Tout Ecran Festival, consisting of its President, Sir

(Journalist-Writer/France), Florence Viala (Actor/France), Issa
Serge Coelo (Director/Chad - France) and Cyril Thurston
(Distributor/Switzerland), have determined the following laureates:

offered by the city of Geneva
CARE (Great Britain) directed by Antonia Bird.
For her courage, her sensibility, her modesty, and the efficacy with
which she denounces one of the evils of our society.
- GRAND PRIX DU JURY offered by the State of Geneva
ROADBLOCKS (KLISTI DROMI) (Greece) directed by Stavros

This film addresses the complexities of exile, and renders tribute
to the dignity and courage of the men and women who have no choice
but to become nomads.

her modes of interpreting the games of love and seduction.
- PRIX RICHEMOND D’INTERPRETATION MASCULINE (for best male
role), offered by the Hôtel Le Richemond
Daniel Parker and Steven Mackintosh in the film CARE

sobriety of the performance of the role of Dave Younger, a man whose

For the realism, the originality, the courage and audacity, but also
the sensibility with which they treat everyday life in the townships
of South Africa.
- GRAND PRIX DES MINI-SERIES
BEKANNELSEN (THE CONFESSION) by Daniel Lind Lagerlöf
(Sweden)
A true television programme, remarkable by virtue of its treatment,
its atmosphere, and the flawless work of the actors.
- SPECIAL MENTION
VOICES FROM THE HEARTLAND, MOTHER V directed by Shahar
Rozen (Israel)
For the political courage of the position taken, for the emotion and
the ample sensibility that are conveyed by the acting of the two
main protagonists.
- SPECIAL MENTION
FUCCON FAMILY, directed by Yoshimasa Ishibashi
(Japan), for the originality of the series, the freshness of the
treatment, and the caustic critique of society.
The jury of the Prix TV5 for
the best feature film in French, consisting of Clara Rousseau
(Marketing Director TV5) and Christophe Assezat (in charge of
acquisitions of television dramas and documentaries at TV5) have
determined the following laureate:

POTLATCH (Switzerland) by Pierre Maillard for his
strength, his originality, and, above all, his acting.
The jury for short films in the International Competition,
consisting of Nicolas Page (Writer/Switzerland), Manuel Polls
(Director/Spain) and Sabine Timoteo (Actor/Switzerland) have, in a
unanimous decision, determined the following laureates:
- PRIX DU MEILLEUR COURT METRAGE (for the best short film),
offered by the SSA
LES CHAUSSETTES SALES (France) by David Lanzmann, for the honesty of
content and form, as well as the need and the motivation to tell
this story. Thank you.

MUNO (Belgium) by Bouli Lannerf, because one must avoid silence.
- PRIX TSR chosen by Michel Shopfer (in charge of short film
acquisitions at the TSR), in accordance with the jury of the
International Short Film Competition
J’AI QUELQUE CHOSE A TE DIRE (ELA NA SOU PO) (Greece) by Katerina
Filiotou, for her scenario and the aptness of the actors’
performance, who convey many emotions in a very simple story.
The jury for the Best Swiss
Short Film, consisting of Julie Gilbert
(Scriptwriter/Switzerland), Jean-François Amiguet
(Director/Switzerland) and Pierre-Pascal Rossi (Journalist-Reporter
and scriptwriter/Switzerland) have determined the following
laureates:

best Swiss director)
NUIT DE NOCES (Switzerland) by Olga Baillif
For the extreme coherence between statement and form, with a genuine
and beautiful female character that is remarkably well performed,
the jury accords the prix Coup de Cœur to Nuit de Noces by Olga
Baillif.
- PRIX KODAK
DIE WURSTVERKAÜFERIN by Oliver Paulus and Stephan
Hillebrand (Switzerland)
The prix Kodak is accorded to Die Wurstverkaüferin by Oliver Paulus
and Stefan Hillebrand for the audacity and originality of this
audiovisual essay on the boundaries between documentary and fiction.
The Young Jury, consisting
