INTERNATIONAL SHORTS COMPETITION
Short films are distinguished by their independence, creativity and courage in moving the boundaries of cinematic expression. Most importantly, they enable upcoming filmmakers to show what intrigues and fascinates them about their world and how they translate this into cinema. Shorts thus bring a glimpse of the cinema of tomorrow.
As a true reflection of our times, these short films confirm the new wave of contemporary, innovative, rebellious and realistic creations. These filmmakers take you right to the heart of their visions, portraying our cosmopolitan society.
This year both traditional shorts and webcast films will feature in the same competition, with the quality of the work being put forward regardless of its distribution model.
